Hello! do you sleep with the double eyelid tape on? i used to be so crazy in achieving double eyelids, from sticker to glue! but it didnt work for me and the 'fake crease' is so obvious when i look down.
Hi, noooo omg i don’t sleep with it neither should you! I don’t think the glur/stickiness on the tape is good for your eyelid!
hello again from the person who recommended hsuenmei. hsuenmei cost less than $100/night for me when i was there. hotels in xmd tend to be more expensive. the price u pay for a (not v nice) 3 star hotel in xmd can get u a much nicer hotel elsewhere. i also heard staying in xmd can be quite noisy. im pretty anal abt hotels cos i believe a gd nights rest in a comfy hotel will make my entire day out more enjoyable.
It’s about $130/night for the period I’m going :( i’m pretty easy with hotels if they are not for relaxation or like honeymoon kinda thing. Staying in taipei is more for shopping and eating so i guess the hotel won’t matter much to me. But i’ll go hunt around other areas, like Zhongshan? Thanks anyways (: you’ve been nice!
I’m sure those who follow me on instagram know I was in Phuket few weeks back. Shall do a (more) detailed post on it (:
I stayed in Aquamarine Resort which is located in Kamala Beach. Phuket has many beaches(Patong, Surin, Kamala, Laem Sing, Kata, Karon etc etc) so you will be spoilt for choice. Patong is the most popular & crowded beach in Phuket but it’s on my ‘dislike’ list simply because it’s way too crowded and dirty. I’m someone who likes to stay away from crowd so Surin, Kamala and Karon are good choices for me. The crowd is moderate and the beaches are nice.
Back to hotel, Aquamarine is located on a hilltop so it’s only wise to get a car or motorbike during the trip. The room is pleasant and spacious, and the toilet is really nice. It has a marble slab sunken bathtub. The infinity pool and the view from the pool is also breathtaking. We paid around $140 a night(incl. tax) i think!!
Lunch @ Surin Beach roadside stall. Food in Phuket is a bit more expensive than Bangkok. Expect 20-50 baht for roadside food(like chicken skewers, coconut juice and fruits), and 60baht to 100baht for padthai and all.
We did groceries shopping at Big C supermart cos it has big variety and it’s cheaper than buying from 7-11! Get your toilet necessities there too!
Surin beach. Lots of hunks there hiak hiak hiak.
#2 Day, we headed to Patong to book our water rafting tour for SGD$37! DON’T BE SHY TO BARGAIN. The lady offered us 1600baht(SGD66) and we managed to bargain till $37! There are a lot of land/island hoping tours around in small booths in patong! Just try your luck with any. Booking directly with hotels tend to be more expensive.
Our water rafting tour includes water rafting in Phang Gha, return transport, lunch, waterfall and visit to monkey cave. Didn’t bring my camera along that day cos we were all wet. I didn’t exactly love the tour as a whole cos i thought water rafting wasn’t thrilling/bumpy enough and the water @ the waterfall was way too cold to enjoy. This tour was done on the 3rd day by the way!
After booking our tour, we drove to Karon beach which is a wide stretch of beach filled with many caucasians! Soaked in the water, crashed some waves, slept, read my book and had lunch!
Had my best meal in Phuket @ a restaurant opposite the beach. Sadly i can’t remember the name :( Bill came up to around SGD25 which was really reasonable for a good meal for 3! Tom yum soup was the bomb!
Back to Karon beach for awhile more. Oh and, you have to rent the sunbed for 100baht(SGD4) to use it! 100baht is for the whole day! Remember to rent towels from your hotel and bring it to the beach cos rental of towel is another 100baht!
Drove to Naiharn Beach(the far south of phuket) for sunset! Naiharn beach is more secluded and has more local residents residing there! Pretty nice beach too (:
Saw this cute little diapers model worthy kid!
Had dinner at an italian restaurant along patong! Yummy pasta and salad!
Did my acrylic nails which didn’t last me more than a day for 300baht(SGD12)!
Our cup noodle haul! Try out this brand “mama” if you haven’t! It’s really tasty! They have it in bkk too!
It was our last day and we headed to Kamala beach after hotel breakfast and check out! Lovely beach with many stall vendors. The beach has more elderly than teenagers though!
Strapped in upcoming JUICESEA3 bandeau bikini!!
After which, we headed back to the hotel where they opened another room just for us to shower. What great service! Went to return our car which we rented for 2800baht(SGD115) for 4 days at ALLRENT co., then headed to the airport!
My air ticket costs me $150 from Tiger Airways! Just check air ticket prices frequently and you can snag a good deal! Hope all the information helps for those going to Phuket soon, and have jolly time!
Hi Sophia!you can try Wonstar hotel!! It's located in Taipei ximending!! Its just directly diagonal from Ximending and I just crossed the street everyday, morning and night for a shopping or food fix! It's a simple, clean and relatively livable hotel, it's rates were not that bad too although I can't remember as I didn't pay for it!Besides I'm sure you're not going to be staying in the hotel at all because I didn't!Have a blast at Taiwan Sophia! You will really enjoy it!
Hi, I just checked the rates for wonstar for the period I’m going but it crosses my budget. I’m looking for something cheaper like around $80 per night cos i’ll be going to Hualien and I’m planning to stay in a nicer(and more expensive) hotel/B&B there. But thanks for your recommendation (: Appreciated!
the arty ring is the one inspired by YSL right? no offense or anything, just curious what are your views on getting replicas on items of the authentic brands? do you feel uncomfortable wearing them out?
Yup, i was selling it on TJM! Mm i think it’s fine as long as the brand is not printed on the item cos that would just be fake(though there’s a very thin line between fake and inspired). Of course, i’m still inclined to buying the authentic items but i own an online store hence i’m bound to sell inspired items and end up wearing them. I’m comfortable with accessories but for bags, sometimes i don’t feel comfortable but i’d still use here and there it if it’s handy/nice.
the henna thing.. you did it in bkk right? do u know any places in singapore that does this and that you have done before? (the last time i did the indian woman was more experienced in doing the traditional one and when i requested smthing else she rejected that idea :/ )
I did it in phuket but i haven’t seen/heard any in Singapore! I think those in Singapore can only do traditional ones :/
hi, how long did you work at sogurt for? Did they have a requirement of 6 months then? Are the people in charge fierce??
Hi i think i worked there for 4 months, and nope they didn’t have a minimum working months then! Sogirls were very friendly and pleasant, and the bosses were pretty nice too. I’m not sure about now, cos i don’t work there anymore!
